Mr. Krishnan joined the Indian Administrative Service in 1962 and was Secretary, in the Ministry of Environment & Forests, Government of India, prior to his retirement. During his illustrious career, he held various top positions with the Government of India and the Government of Madhya Pradesh.
He was Secretary, Department of Fertilizers, Additioanal Secretary -Ministry of Industry, Joint Secretary -Ministry of Energy - Department of Coal , with the Government of India at various times.
He was Secretary to the Chief Minister, Government of Madhya Pradesh and prior to that held the positions of Secretary - Department of Electricity, Secretary – Department of Housing & Environment with the Government of Madhya Pradesh.
Mr.Krishnan has won several Awards from the Government of India for his outstanding contributions.
He was a member of the Governing body of the Indian Institute of Management - Ahmedabad and Bangalore and the National Institute of Design - Ahmedabad.
Mr. Krishnan holds a Masters in Chemistry from the University of Delhi and is a fellow of the Harvard Institute of International Development and was a visiting fellow – Queen Elizabeth House Oxford - U.K.
He is associated with National & International Groups concernd with Environmental issues & has led several delegations to various world bodies dealing with Environmerntal matters.
Mr.Krishnan currently holds directorships with several corporates. |
